St. Paul, West Wycombe

Description

A small Victorian church which until recently was shared with a Serbian Orthodox congregation. They have now relocated and their iconostasis - which had been an interesting feature - has gone with them. (This has however given the opportunity for some work on the building to improve the appearance and address health and safety and accessibility issues).

It is a quiet oasis of peace and prayer which welcomes visitors and pilgrims. St. Paul's is not far from a busy road but feels a world away. Candles can be lit and prayers left, and often are. A very special place which is often remarked upon for its prayerful atmosphere and simplicity.

This is a church which is regularly prayed in and you can feel that this is the case. A place to sit and be quiet and to ponder.

Standard opening times: Open every day.
Services: 10.30 am service on the third Sunday of the month.
Quiet days and individuals/groups can be accommodated by arrangement.
