St. Giles, Bradfield
Description
A Grade 2 listed building set amidst fields, only accessible by foot, cycle or car, with no water or mains electricity. Now a Chapel of Ease with only a few services a year which may include weddings and funerals.
Its situation is in a quiet rural setting. It has been awarded an Ecochurch Bronze award. It has a Doom painting of Christ in Judgement dating from the 15th century above the chancel arch. Christ sits on a rainbow showing his wounds. There is a small leafleted trail. Many comments in the visitors book tell how much the church's atmosphere speaks of peace and of being a much cherished place of worship.
Standard opening times: The church is open at all the times. Forthcoming services are advertised on the notice board and weekly Trunch Benefice notice sheet
