A still pool of quiet in a restless city, with a large, beautiful and peaceful garden. The Meeting House and its garden are an oasis of tranquillity. Parts of the garden symbolise the Quaker testimonies of Peace, Truth, Equality, Simplicity and Sustainability. The garden's labyrinth offers the opportunity for prayerful walking and contemplation.
Standard opening times:
The garden may be visited at any time. (Please note that any group using the Meeting House has the use of the garden, so please respect their privacy.) Contact the hospitaller for details of events and opening times of the Meeting House.
There is a Quiet Morning on the second Friday of every month from 10 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. when after a time of welcome and coffee there is a short guided meditation leading into a period of silent private contemplation, with opportunities to read, write, draw and walk in the garden. The morning ends by gathering for a period of shared reflection and a light lunch.
There is a programme of events during the year which anyone is welcome to attend - details in the ‘Garden’ section of the website (see below).

There will be time to share thoughts, create a memento of the day and to see an exhibition of photos showing the garden throughout the year.
Hot and cold drinks will be provided - bring your own packed lunch. NO CHARGE - donations for the upkeep of the garden are welcome. BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL either by email to email@example.com or telephone 01733-756446
