Description
The Church of the Storms! A 12th century church in a wild place of peace and beauty. It nestles out of the wind, beneath a rocky outcrop, beside a sandy beach where Atlantic rollers pound against the Lizard Peninsular. The church is on the site of St. Winwaloe's 6th century monastery.
Standard Opening times:
Church usually open. Services – 3 p.m. Sunday Holy Communion (BCP except on 1st Sunday of the month when Celtic tradition is followed).

Flat walk from National Trust car park.
By car - park at the National Trust's Gunwalloe Car Park. Take A3083 from Helston and turn right 1ml past main RNAS Culdrose entrance.
On foot - Follow the coastal footpath (North from Poldhu Cove.)

Slight ramp down into church.
Toilets on the beach. Accommodation in Gunwalloe village (1¼ miles away).
