A base for a private retreat. The Cottage is a place of liminal tranquillity - a place of welcome and the ambience is one of sanctity. On the edge of the moors and the sea, connected by ancient monks trods, Whitby to York, via Grosmont Abbey and the shrine at Lastingham. For those on the journey, this is a good sojourning space.
Christine and Paul, counsellor and priest will welcome and can guide.
Catering ideally for two people it can be rented throughout the year on a nightly or weekly basis. It offers time for reflection in this busy world and with this in mind, one room is reserved for thought and contemplation.

From the Moors/Pickering, to Sleights- turn right between Church and Fish & Chip shop. Go to bottom over the small bridge, first right on the unmade road, house first on the left. A detached two gabled-parking on site behind the extentsion
